The British sculptor had an earlier installation at Presidio, which we would like to highlight this week. Goldsworthy partnered with the For-Site foundation (an organization dedicated to art about place) to create Tree Fall in Missing: Addison TX. Tree Fall was the last sculpture we found and it's inside the Powder Magazine, a small building that was originally built during the Civil War and used to protect gun powder and munitions.
The building has a domed roof and inspired Goldsworthy's plans for Tree Fall which is made of a tree branch covered with clay and then suspended from the roof. The branch does not touch the walls nor alter shrubremoval.buzzg: Addison TX.
